Parts Needed
- USB-C “PD Trigger”: https://a.co/d/4zRihe0
- 2 sections of wire
Tools Needed
- Hot glue gun
- Dremel rotary tool or hand file
- Screwdriver
- Soldering iron
Solution
- I watched this Youtube video to change the power output of the PD trigger to 9V: https://youtu.be/jt6tO4P9r_I
- I unscrewed the top shell from the inner housing.
- I cut a divot in the inner housing to make room for the USB-C PD trigger board.
- I cut a divot in the top shell to make room for the USB-C PD trigger board.
- I hot-glued the USB-C PD trigger board in place and soldered the wires between the USB-C PD trigger board and the DC barrel connector.
